Attention Clarksville Homeowners- Free Home Repairs
The City of Clarksville is committed to preserving and revitalizing the homes of low-moderate income families in our community. With the help of everyday citizen volunteers, skilled trades people and support from the City's Community Development Block Grant, volunteers will dedicate their time and expertise to help make lives better.Repairs include house painting, handicap ramps, roofs and other minor repairs.
At least 600 volunteers from Clarksville and other areas of the country will complete the work. World Changers sponsored by the Cumberland Baptist Association and Grace Community Church will be in Clarksville in June and September 2009 to complete the work.
If you or someone you know is in need of repairs, you may obtain an application or learn more by contacting Bertha Rufus or Martias Kendrick at 931-648-6133. Homeowners must be low-income as designated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Income eligibility is dependent on family size. Income limits may be obtained from the City's Office of Housing and Community Development.
